Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown following he pressed a knife to the throat of his colleague Sgt Marc Foster.
Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their colleague, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver following a traffic accident in Whalley Range in mid-2023.
